•Analyze how ancient heroes and myths reflected and shaped the world
•Compare the ways in which ancient heroes and myths influenced Western culture
Part 2 – 32 ACH (4 ACH/ week): Futuristic Mythology (Week 9 – Week 16)
The primary aims of this component are to:
•Introduce key sci-fi heroes and works and their creators
•Analyze the cultural roots of science fiction heroes and themes
•Compare the ways in which changes in science fiction themes reflect real world development
